15 January – Honda Activa 6 G

Everyone is ready to launch a Honda Activa 6 G scooter (that is 15 January 2020), Honda Motorcycles & Scooter India (HMSI). This is the country’s third BS6-compliant two-wheeler Japanese brand. The vehicle’s descriptions were leaked online before its official launch.

The Honda Active 6 G is marginally less efficient than the current generation model as described in the leaked document. The updated version will use a 109.51cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that complies with the latest BS6 emission standards.

While the 5 G generates 8 bhp with 9 Nm of power, the Honda 6 G returns a peak output of 7.68 bhp. With Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) with Honda Eco Technology (HET), the improved BS6 compatible engine was strengthened.

As we have seen in the BS6 Activa 125, Honda Activa 6 G is expected to get an ACG engine. The idling brake turns the engine off at the traffic light or a short stop to reduce fuel usage which contributes to reduced emissions. A modern all-digital instrument cluster with a fuel reading and reading of a trip meter is also offered for the updated model.

The stopping efficiency of the scooter will boost Honda as well. The new Honda Activa 6 G arrives with the CBS (Combi braking system) front disc and rear drum splits. New telescopic front and rear suspension systems will also be installed for the car.

The updated lighting and body design will make it look better. The recently developed LED headlamp with LED DRLs would support the Honda Activa 6G. The updated front apron, 12-inch alloy wheels, the new side turn sign and chrome body panels will also be illuminated.

The BS6 compliant Honda Activa 6 G has a Rs 6,000 –Rs 8,000 premium estimate compared to the BS4 model. The new model is available in the price range of Rs 55,934–Rs (Delhi, ex-showroom).
