2020 Launch of the Honda Shine BS6; Priced At Rs. 67,857

The updated Honda Shine, India’s 125 cc high selling motorcycle, with a new5-speed transmission and fuel-injecting engine was launched by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI). A new generation of Honda Shine BS6 is available at a price of 67,857 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With 10.72 bhp power coming from the new motor at 7. 500 rpm and 10.9 Nm peak torque at 6000 rpm, the new 125 cc fuel-injected engine produces more power and torque than the Honda CB Shine.

The new 125 cc compliant Bharat Stage VI (BS6) engine has a silent boost that eliminates the need for conventional starter motors, which is what Honda calls Enhanced Smart Power. Then two mechanical features are available which use decompression efficiently and new “swing back” features to simplify mainly starting of the engine with low power. A new feature is the programmed injection of fuel and reduced friction within the engine by using an offset cylinder with a roller rocker arm, as well as an efficiency improving piston cooling jet and maintaining the optimum motor temperature.

According to the HMSI, a new 125 cc engine and low resistance tube tires on the rear wheel is 14% more fuel-efficient, reducing energy loss while maintaining optimum control. The results are now available for the entire 125cc engine. The functionalities list contains a New Two-way Start-Stop Switch with a new instrument cluster design as well as an integrated headlamp beam and passing switch and updated graphics.

The new Honda Shine can be used in two variants-with front drum brake or front disk brake options at prices starting at € 67,857 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The new Honda Shine will be available in four colors: Black, Geny Grey Metallic, Rebel Red and Athletic Metallic, replacing the outgoing models BS4 CB Shine.
