Bookings for the Maruti Celerio 2021 are now open at the dealership level

We learned a few days ago that Maruti Suzuki plans to release the new-generation Celerio in September 2021. Select shops have begun taking reservations for the new model ahead of its official release. The refundable booking fee ranges from Rs 5,000 to Rs 11,000 per person. The hatchback will undergo major aesthetic changes as well as larger proportions, according to leaked patent pictures of the Maruti Celerio for 2021. According to rumours, the new Celerio will serve as the foundation for the new Heartect platform, which will be more robust, lighter, and safer than before.

The spy shots show that the new Maruti Celerio 2021 will forsake the upright, squarish posture in favour of a more angular look. The hatch will have a flattish oval grille with a honeycomb design up front. The new triangular-shaped headlights will have rounded edges, while the front bumper will have minimum lines. Both headlamps will be connected by a thin chrome bar. The fog lamp surrounds and apron will have black components. A bigger glasshouse, sharp side creases, a long tapering roofline, redesigned rear bumper, and newly-designed wraparound LED taillamps are among the other design changes.

The Maruti Suzuki SmartPlay infotainment system, which will enable Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, will be one of the most significant interior improvements. Its formal facts are yet unknown. Electrically adjustable ORVMs, a redesigned centre console, a multi-functional steering wheel, keyless entry, multi-information display, new upholstery, reverse parking sensors, twin front airbags, ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD are all expected to be included in the Maruti Celerio in 2021. (electronic brakeforce distribution).

The BS6-compliant 1.0L, 3-cylinder K10B petrol engine that powers the current generation Maruti Celerio will continue to power the new Maruti Celerio 2021. The gasoline engine is said to have a power output of 66 horsepower and a torque output of 90 Nm. There will be 5-speed manual and AMT transmissions available. According to reports, the Maruti Celerio’s 2021 model range will have the WagonR’s more refined 1.2L petrol engine (82bhp/113Nm). The hatchback might potentially be available with a combination of gasoline and compressed natural gas (CNG).
