A new beginning for India’s auto industry
The beginning of October 2018 will be a significant one for India and its automobile industry. That will be the time when FISITA World Automotive Congress – a gathering of international automotive leaders and experts – will happen in Chennai. The latest car news is a boost for India which has emerged as the new hub for automotive engineering in the last decade. It will be the first time that the event takes place in India. Car comparison of all types of vehicles will be possible.
FISITA comes to India
FISITA World Automotive Congress is an event which takes place every two years and was first held in Paris in 1947. SAEINDIA will be hosting the 37th FISITA congregation at the Chennai Trade Centre from October 2-5. The theme for the event lasting four days is ‘Disruptive Technologies for Affordable and Sustainable Mobility’.
FISITA is an International Federation of Automotive Engineering which has 37 member societies from across the globe.
With new and disruptive technologies in the automotive industry becoming the norm and India being a leader for IT and software development, the meeting will help those participating from all around the world to exchange ideas and also indulge in out of the box thinking about the challenges and changes that the new trends happening worldwide.
There will be several technical sessions where experts from India and abroad would come together to address the key factors facing the automotive industry. 305 research papers would be presented in these technical sessions.
The student congress will reveal top-notch research done in the automotive field by students in Indian and foreign universities. It will lead to better knowledge of how to maintain/service a car.
ZF to unveil a new platform
ZF which is a global leader in driveline and chassis production will unveil a prototype mStars vehicle at the FISITA Congress. Its exhibit of new car technologies will cover a range of applications from driverless vehicles to superior safety features such as ZF ProAI and seat belts as well as the latest developments in automatic transmissions and clutch.
