A BS6 complying 1.0 L turbocharged 3-cylinder TSI petrol motor is at the heart of Skoda Rapid Matte’s concept. It delivers nearly 110bhp of power. The updated BS6 Rapid petrol, which is around 20kpl, is claimed to be 25% more fuel-efficient than the BS4 version. The new model of the sedan will, therefore, be as fuel-efficient as the 20,65 km (TM) and 20 km (AT) Maruti Suzuki CIAZ.
A 6-speed manual and optional automatic gearbox will be added to the BS6 Skoda Rapid. It is expected to be slightly premium in March 2020 and will be sold in the outbound BS4 version.
