Mahindra Bolero Next-Gen Confirmed – Release Date Revealed

Mahindra, a local UV manufacturer, plans to debut nine new SUVs or MPVs in the Indian market by 2026. The XUV700 and the new-generation Scorpio will be released in 2021 and early 2022, respectively. In addition, a 5-door variant of the Mahindra Thar is in the works. By 2023, the long-wheelbase 5-door Thar will be available.

Mahindra is also developing the next-generation Bolero SUV, which will be released in 2023. The next-generation Mahindra Bolero will be built on the same ladder-on-frame chassis as the new Thar. The next-generation Scorpio and the 5-door Thar will, in reality, be built on the same platform.

The current Mahindra Bolero will receive a mid-life facelift before the launch of the next-generation Bolero. The revised model will have a new interior and slight design tweaks. The tough, solid-looking appearance of the next-generation Bolero is projected to remain popular in semi-urban and rural markets.

More modern amenities like as a touchscreen infotainment system, new AC unit with rear AC vents, power windows, multi-functional instrument dashboard, and others are expected in the next-generation Mahindra Bolero. LED headlights with LED DRLs and LED taillights might be added to the top-spec model. It will very certainly receive a skid plate, ORVMs with turn indicators, and a new front grille inspired by the next-generation Scorpio and the XUV500.

Multiple seatin options are anticipated to be available on the upcoming Bolero. The next-generation Mahindra Bolero will be safer and conform to new safety and crash test standards. Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, driver and co-driver seat belt reminders, speed warning system, vehicle reverse parking sensors, and manual central locking system override will all be standard safety features on the new model.

A new 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine, which also powers the new Thar, might be added to the next-generation Mahindra Bolero. This engine has a power output of 132bhp and a torque output of 320Nm. The 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine used in the Marazzo MPV might potentially be used in the SUV. It might possibly be equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, similar to the one found in the new Thar.
