Their EQ range was first heard of in India at the beginning of this year, where the new EQC 400 model was unveiled. Later at the Auto Expo 2020, this design was again brought into the public eye and was slated to hit the markets in April. But, it had to be delayed owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, which is why its hype has increased manifolds.
Highlights and Features
The Mercedes-Benz EQC has the same foundation as that of the brand’s GLC model, but there are certain unique features that make it a class apart. Arriving in India through the CBU (Completely Built-Up) way, this SUV is priced at almost Rs. 99.30 Lakh and needless to say, it will be the textbook definition of comfort, style, and intelligence.
The fascia in front has a well-defined look along with the piano blacked colored grille which has two LED headlamps. At the back, there is an uninterrupted band of lights that are interlinked with the tail lamps. The vehicle is placed on alloy wheels which boast of a distinct design and certain detailings in blue, thereby giving it a striking look.
The interiors are just as how one would expect a Mercedes-Benz luxury car to possess. The dashboard comes with a dual-screen arrangement and includes the newest MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) multimedia system.
The vehicle that was showcased had front seats which could be operated electrically, a wireless charger, seven airbags for maximum safety, automatic climate control, a sunroof, leather upholstery of the most premium kind, and four different kinds of driving modes: Max Range, Eco, Sport, Comfort, and Individual.
This luxury car has two non-simultaneous motors on either axle, which are capable of delivering a powerful torque of 402 bhp and 765 Nm. The responsibility of powering these motors lies on an 80 kWh lithium-ion battery which can effortlessly make the car accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a matter of only 5.1 seconds. This special battery takes around 40 minutes to charge up to 80% through a DC fast charger.
The potential clients will also be given a 7.4 kWh Wall Box charger which will take 10 hours to provide charge to the car’s battery. Another impressive feature of this vehicle is that it is powerful enough to deliver a range of 450-475 km with just one single charge, all thanks to its highly-efficient lithium-ion battery.
