New Maruti Ciaz 2018 launched in India at starting price of Rs 8.19 lakh

The Maruti Ciaz 2018 – much more than a facelift

The new Maruti Ciaz may look like a facelift of the old Maruti Ciaz but there are changes inside too according to latest car news. Maruti has not just given its looks a few minor tweaks but given it a new feel and under the hood, it will boast of a new K15 1.5-liter petrol engine replacing the old 1.4 liters.

The front design has changed to being wider and lower with a slimmer grille and LED daytime running lights. There are big air dams on the front bumpers, and the door handles have a chrome finish.

New engine with more power

The new engine produces 103 bhp at 6,000 rpm, more than enough to keep it moving at 100 km/h on the highway. Maruti claims a mileage of 21.5 km/l on the highway thanks to the development of the new Smart Hybrid technology. The diesel version is powered by the old 1.3 liters, 4 cylinder engine but that is probably going to be upgraded to a new 1.5-liter engine soon.

In car comparison with a length of 4,490 mm, the width of 1,730 mm and longer wheelbase than any other car in its class like Hyundai Verna the new Maruti Ciaz comfortably seats five passengers.

Fresh interiors

The sedan comes with a faux wood trim and new dual-tone interiors. The dash houses a 7” touch-screen entertainment and navigation system offering both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay mobile apps. The rear seats get adjustable headrests. The steering wheel is three spoke with chrome trim.

Great buy with good safety features

As far as safety, it offers the same car technologies as any other comparable C segment sedan with dual airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors and seatbelt reminders for front passengers. Rear camera and cruise control are available on higher-end variants. With Maruti’s trusted dealership and service network and their knowledge of how to maintain/service a car, the new Maruti Ciaz is a sure winner.
