Skoda, originally known as Skoda Auto, is a Czech automobile manufacturing company founded in the year 1895. Initially launched as Laurin and Klement, it went on to become a fully owned subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group. Operating in over 100 countries, Skoda has launched many magnificent cars to date, including the popular Skoda Rapid and the Skoda Octavia. But this August 2020, the company is expected to come up with their Skoda Vision X SUV, a production model based on their 2018 concept.

– Slender Exterior:
With an approximate length, width and height of 4250mm, 1500mm and 1800mm respectively, the Skoda Vision X comprises a much longer wheelbase. The car features the signature grille of Skoda Auto on the bonnet of the new model along with a power dome and 20-inch alloy wheels. It sports raised headlights equipped with thin indicators and lights for using during daytime while the back of the car consists of tail lights, which are L-shaped, and bumper reflectors.

Due to the longer wheelbase, the interior of the Skoda Vision X consists of a more spacious cabin. In addition to that, the car features a broader dashboard as well. This dashboard accommodates a 7-8 inch large infotainment system, which has touchscreen facilities and is centrally located inside the car. This infotainment system includes a small wing-type structure that has been designed as an armrest for the hand of the user while operating the touchscreen system. Along with that, the Skoda Vision X also has GPS navigation facilities, longer boards at the boot area and Bluetooth facilities among many other upgraded technologies and facilities. It also features a large panoramic Czech glass roof.
– Exclusive Engine:
The Volkswagen Group has already confirmed the news that the Skoda Vision X will come with a TSI turbocharged petrol engine of 1.5L and 4 cylinders. This petrol unit will offer 2 states of tunes, generating powers of 94bhp & 114bhp and a maximum of 250Nm torque. Both automatic and manual gearboxes and versions of the SUV will be available on offer. It can hit 0 to 100 km/hr in 9.3 seconds.
– Supreme Safety:
The new model is expected to feature Emergency Steer Assist, Predictive Cruise Control and a central locking system along with several other motion sensors for the road. Along with these, there are 7 airbags and 4 cameras creating a 360-degree image around the vehicle that ensure the safety of the driver & the passengers.
Reasonable Price at Launch:
The Skoda Vision X, with its 650 km range, is expected to be launched on August 1st, 2020, at an estimated price between Rs. 12 lakhs and Rs. 16 lakhs.
