The Benelli 502C are now open – the model will be released soon

The Italian motorcycle maker has finally launched its first-ever cruiser for the Indian market, the Benelli 502C. The new motorbike is expected to be released before the end of the month. Buyers who are interested in pre-ordering the model must pay a deposit of Rs 10,000. The Benelli 502 C cruiser is likely to cost approximately Rs 20,000 more than the Leoncino 500 when it is officially released in the final week of July. The latter is now on the market for Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Benelli 502C is powered by a 500cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled inline engine with a 6-speed transmission. The rear wheel is driven by a chain drive from the gearbox unit. The motor has been adjusted to produce 47 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 45Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. In the Leoncino 500, the same powertrain is used. The new Benelli cruiser has a 750mm seat height and is supported by a tubular steel trellis frame. It features a 175mm ground clearance and a 21.5-litre fuel tank capacity.

The Benelli 502 C sports upside-down front forks and an adjustable rear monoshock unit for suspension duties. At the front and rear axles, it has dual 280mm rotors with radially mounted brake callipers and a 240mm disc, respectively. Standard equipment includes a dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). Benelli’s new cruiser bike has a 1,600mm wheelbase, which is the same as the Ducati Diavel 1260. It even has certain design features in common with the Diavel 1260.

The Benelli 502C has full-LED lighting, a single-piece seat, adjustable footrest, low stance, and a small tail section. It rides on 17-inch rims with 120-section front and 160-section rear tyres. The cruiser is outfitted with a TFT instrument cluster that automatically switches between day and night modes.
