The Yamaha FZ-X is a 150cc motorcycle based on the Yamaha FZ150

Yamaha is said to be working on a new FZ-X adventure or XSR250 retro classic motorcycle. Yamaha will, however, launch a new FZ-X motorcycle in the world, according to a form approval certificate. It will be a modern-retro motorcycle with style similarity to the XSR150, which is currently on sale in a few foreign markets.

The Yamaha FZ-X will have fork gaiters, a box-style fuel tank, a flat seat configuration, a comfortable riding posture, a touchscreen instrument console, and an upswept exhaust system. It would be ideal for both urban and highway touring due to the comfortable riding posture.

According to the type acceptance certificate, the 2021 Yamaha FZ-X will be equipped with a new 149cc air-cooled SOHC engine capable of producing 12.4PS at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm at 5,500rpm. This engine is mated to a constant mesh 5-speed transmission.

Telescopic forks at the front and a 7-step dynamic monocross at the back would make up the suspension system. The motorcycle would have 282mm discs up front and 220mm discs in the back for braking. Single channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) will be standard on the bike.

The motorcycle’s dimensions are also revealed in the paper. The Yamaha FZ-X has dimensions of 2,020mm in length, 785mm in width, and 1,115mm in height. The motorcycle has a 1,330mm wheelbase, which is comparable to the FZ15. The FZ has a length of 1,990mm, a width of 780mm, and a height of 1,080mm.

The new bike will join Yamaha’s current 150cc motorcycle lineup, which includes the FZ, R15, and MT15 models. Yamaha hopes to increase its market share in the increasingly competitive 150cc-200cc category with the new bike. The latest motorcycle’s price is expected to be around Rs 1.10 lakh.
